LSVAP had a wonderful opportunity yesterday for education and advocacy! Our very own Central Texas Coordinator, Diana Gómez, got to present at the 2018 Partners in Prevention Conference in Arlington, Texas which was hosted every year by The Department of Family and Protective Services. During our presentation, entitled “Working with Immigrant Survivors of Crime”, Diana expertly discussed the unique barriers faced by immigrant victims of abuse; best practices for working with immigrant victims; and available immigration remedies. Diana did a fantastic job representing LSVAP and engaging with prevention and early intervention professionals from all across Texas. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication, Diana!
